There have been rumors about people from the past, characters who have passed away, and new characters being brought into many of the series and movies now that Marvel is well into its multiverse epic. We can confirm that Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow for the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars.
While some may find this surprising, given that she sacrificed her life to kill Thanos, a different temporal version of the character may appear to aid in the defeat of Kang and any other major villain Marvel may have introduced by then.
As part of its current foray into the Multiverse Saga, Marvel is introducing – or has already introduced – the idea of Variants. Which are essentially different iterations of well-known and popular characters.
Scarlett Johansson roles in the new Avengers: Secret War Movie:
It might be challenging for Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye if Scarlett Johansson returns as Black Widow in Secret Wars. Natasha Romanoff and Barton shared a strong bond. It’s possible that he won’t be able to tolerate seeing her after she sacrificed her life for the group and the greater good. Yelena Belova, Natasha’s sister, would similarly find it difficult to recognize a different timeline version of her.
Scarlett Johansson is likely to join many other returning Marvel characters in Secret Wars. According to reports, Avengers: Secret Wars will stick to the story arc Jonathan Hickman wrote in 2015.
Due to the impending destruction of the Marvel universe, all planets and timelines congregate on Battleworld. So, naturally, every character in Battleworld appears in several timelines as they attempt to stop Doctor Doom, who is now God Emperor Doom.
There have been persistent reports that Doctor Doom will be appointed as the person in charge of controlling Kang, which is logical. It suggests that another timeline version of Scarlett Johansson would wish to join the Avengers to prevent the multiverse from being destroyed by seeing her return in Secret Wars. She may have a drastically different history in which Barton and her sister are the ones who perish. In this case, she would wish to fight alongside them to save the world.
Scarlett Johansson is also playing a different heroic incarnation of the character that audiences and fans haven’t yet met. Scarlett Johansson plays an evil version of the persona enlisted by the Beyonder to battle the MCU. Other multiversal heroes are yet another possibility. Other well-known figures like Captain America and Iron Man may also have malevolent incarnations or variations.
List of other characters to return to the Marvel Universe:
Scarlett Johansson’s appearance in Avengers:
Secret Wars brings her name to an ever-growing list of characters who are rumored to return. Wesley Snipes as Blade, Chris Evans as Captain America, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, and Ian McKellen as Magneto are just a few of the actors that could make an appearance in what is unquestionably the most ambitious Marvel film to date. The MCU will go all out to combine decades of films into one. Which will likely involve bringing back some fan favorites, even for brief cameos.
Scarlett Johansson’s appearance in Secret Wars might be more than just a cameo, though, given she served as a mainstay for the initial batch of MCU films. Instead. She will likely play a more significant part and join the Avengers team, including surviving legacy characters and brand-new recruits. Even if it’s just for one last time, seeing all these characters reunite in the MCU will be thrilling.
Scarlett Johansson as a producer:
Kevin Feige confirmed their collaboration in an interview. He stated they are already working on another non-Black Widow-linked top-secret Marvel Studios venture with her as a producer.
He continued, praising the Black Widow star, that Scarlett is one of today’s most gifted, adaptable, and adored actors. Working with someone of her level has been a pleasure, from the intense training sessions for the Iron Man 2 hallway battle to the global press tour for Avengers: Endgame to our collaboration as a producer on Black Widow. However, one of his career’s most unforgettable experiences and rewarding collaborations has been working with Scarlett.
Scarlett Johansson was the first actor to produce a movie for Marvel Studios, according to Feige. They asserted that she created her conception of Black Widow’s story throughout their readings.
Scarlett Johansson’s Upcoming Projects:
